Looking for just the right music for your wedding or event? I have experience providing piano, organ and vocal music for over seven hundred wedding ceremonies and dozens of receptions. Whether you are looking for something very traditional or well off the beaten path, chances are I can help you find just the right thing. Most of the information here is geared for weddings. However, if you are looking for music for a cocktail party, holiday event or memorial service please ask.
With all the things you need to take care of for that special day, sometimes music can be the last thing on your mind. Most couples take a direct hand in the selection of their music, but others need to focus their attention elsewhere and prefer to leave it up to me. Either way is fine. I have worked with some couples a year before their wedding and others the day before. In general most people contact me approximately two months before their ceremony and that is usually the perfect amount of time to ensure you have the right music.
I honestly believe that the music at your wedding should reflect your tastes and the style you want to have that day. Overwhelmingly people choose very traditional classical music. This is a great option because most of the music that is used is "tried and true" and will be perfect for any wedding. I do encourage couples however to think of alternatives if they just don't like classical music. Wedding ceremonies I have played have been all jazz, all love songs, all showtunes and many different combinations. I have been asked to include military theme songs, baseball tunes and cartoon music. It's your wedding - choose music you will like!
