Selecting Your Music
I always find it best if we can arrange to meet in person to talk about your wedding music. It's an added bonus if we can arrange to meet in the actual location of the wedding. Then I can play music for you on the instrument(s) you'll be hearing that day. Also, if you don't like the selections I initially show you, meeting in person is a great opportunity to explore your tastes and the alternatives I have to offer.
I hope to soon add sound clips to this site of standard wedding selections for your convenience. Please check back.
I generally provide about 30 minutes of music before the start of the ceremony. Most couples choose not to select every song during this time, but rather give me a sense of style and I do the rest. Of course, it is your wedding and I welcome all suggestions and requests for music during that time.
Most weddings follow a similar structure. The following are common places where music is used. Of course, if you are having a complete religious service (including communion and other aspects) as part of the ceremony or are incorporating other traditions or ideas there could be additional (or fewer) spots for music. If you're not sure what something here means - ask!
