As a classically trained musician in both piano and voice I have years of experience teaching students at all levels in both areas.
The information here is meant to help you decide if you should start studying for the first time, renew your study or start working with a new teacher.
I love working with students from beginners to advanced. I believe that most students will not progress unless they enjoy what they are doing. Therefore whether you are 8 or 80, a total novice or a seasoned pro, my primary concerns in each lesson are to make it enjoyable and productive. Music is always selected with each student’s interests and abilities in mind. Lessons are used to diagnose areas of needed growth, strengthen weaknesses and help you achieve your goals. Of course, I am also always on the lookout for bad habits or other poor technique which can either inhibit or actually harm your future as a musician.
Currently and former students have appeared around the world, on Broadway, in national touring companies, American Idol and in San Francisco at the Empire Plush Room, the Razz Room, Beach Blanket Babylon, Teatro Zinzanni, and many area theatres and clubs.
